What we use
Ritmo uses only what it needs to function. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share browsing data with third parties for marketing.
Dashboard
When you sign in, we store an authentication token in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between page loads. We also store small preferences such as your chosen theme and language. Clearing your browser storage signs you out and resets those preferences.
Chat widget
The website chat widget stores a visitor identifier, the current session identifier, and recent messages in the visitor's local storage. This is what allows a conversation to survive a page refresh instead of restarting from scratch each time.
This data stays in the visitor's own browser. Clearing site data ends the session and starts a fresh conversation on the next visit.
Third parties
Some connected services set their own storage when their content loads — for example Google Firebase for push notifications, or a platform's own media CDN when displaying an image sent through a conversation. Those are governed by the respective provider's policies.
Managing storage
Every major browser lets you view and clear cookies and local storage for a specific site:
- Chrome and Edge — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site data.
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Blocking storage for Ritmo will sign you out of the dashboard and prevent the chat widget from remembering a conversation.
