Data Deletion
Last updated: 9 August 2026
Overview
This page explains how to have data deleted from Ritmo. Which route applies depends on whether you run a business account on Ritmo, or you messaged a business that uses Ritmo.
If you use Ritmo to run a business
You can remove data yourself from the dashboard:
- Disconnect a channel. Under Integrations, disconnecting a Meta or TikTok account revokes our webhook subscription and stops any further data flowing in from that platform.
- Delete a contact or conversation. Individual contacts and conversations can be removed from the Contacts and Inbox screens.
- Delete the whole workspace. Email us at the address below from the account's registered email address and we will delete the workspace and everything in it.
Deleting a workspace removes its bots, channels, conversations, messages, contacts, team members, and stored platform access tokens. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
If you messaged a business that uses Ritmo
The business you contacted controls that conversation — we only store it on their behalf. The fastest route is to ask that business directly to delete your data.
If that is not practical, email us at the address below with the platform you used (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, TikTok, or website chat) and the phone number, username, or handle you messaged from. We will locate the records, notify the business, and delete the data.
Revoking access from Facebook or Instagram
If you connected a Meta account to Ritmo, you can also revoke it from Meta's side at any time: open Facebook Settings → Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, select Ritmo, and choose Remove. Doing this stops Meta sending us any further data for that account. Data already stored in your Ritmo workspace is not automatically removed — use the steps above to delete it.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@uritm.com with the subject line Data Deletion Request. Include enough detail for us to identify the records — the workspace email address, or the identifier you messaged from.
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting, so that someone cannot delete another person's data.
What we may retain
After deletion we may keep a minimal record of the request itself (that it was made and when) to demonstrate compliance, and any data we are required to retain by law. Backups are rotated on a schedule, so deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before being overwritten.
